About Us

A boutique Private Client law firm based in Sheffield, Pavilion Row was founded by Angus and Nicola Houston. In 2025, we proudly celebrated our 15th anniversary with a record-breaking year, delivering probate, trusts and estate planning services to clients across the UK.

We work closely with some of the UK’s largest financial services networks and have been approved at corporate level to join their legal panels as a preferred provider. This includes being part of the estate administration panel for one of the country’s leading financial institutions.

Our commitment to excellence is underpinned by core values to care, collaborate and try hard. These values shape not only the way we work with clients and partners, but also the way we learn and grow as a team. At Pavilion Row, we foster a learning culture where knowledge is shared, standards are continually raised, and every team member is supported to develop their expertise. It’ this foundation that enables us to deliver consistently high-quality legal services and remain a trusted name within the sector.

Pavilion Row is proud to be one of around 50 firms globally to hold Platinum accreditation from STEP, the leading international body for inheritance and succession planning professionals. This prestigious status reflects our commitment to excellence in legal expertise, client care and ethical standards. Our co-founder, Angus Houston, actively contributes to STEP as Chair of the Yorkshire branch, helping shape best practices and elevate standards across the profession. A STEP Employer Partner since the inception of the programme in 2014, we support our team’s professional growth through mentoring, full training funding, and performance-based rewards, ensuring our firm remains at the forefront of Private Client law.

Pavilion Row is authorised and regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) under the Legal Services Act 2007. As a specialist regulator for Conveyancing and Probate, the CLC holds the same statutory powers as the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) but focuses exclusively on these areas. We chose the CLC as our regulator because its dedicated expertise aligns closely with the needs of our firm and our clients, ensuring tailored oversight and a deeper understanding of our practice.
